This is a finely Hand Knotted Persian Rug. It has a natural pile of Wool fibers, on a cotton foundation. A beautiful Traditional Tabriz design with an intricate meddallion design and oversized cornice patterns. The fine weave of this piece can be seen in the level of detail of each motif and the richness of the medallion, cornice and border. Woven in Iran, the dominant colors are Red and Navy with touches of orange, fold, blue, green and ivory.
