This is a finely Hand Knotted Persian Bidjar Rug. It has a natural pile of Wool fibers, on a cotton foundation. A beautiful example of the Traditional Bidjar design in an Medallion pattern. Woven in Iran, the dominant colors are Red/Burgundy and Ivory. Very fine knot count, a collector’s piece.
